A Week Later.....

Well it has been almost a week and my plants are doing well so far. We have had a lot of rain so I have not had to water at all. I moved the plant so that they could get a southern exposure but they are still on the roof top. I have added pictures of each plant. I added flowers to the beds for color and pollination. This project has inspired me to help my friends with their gardens. It has been a lot of fun! I hope you are enjoying the blog so far and please check back for more pictures.

Day One of the Pepper Project

This blog was inspired by my mom. It is a project in urban gardening that I hope will lead to urban farming. My mom is a full force supporter of the slow food movement and growing your own food. Unfortunately many of us live in urban areas with little to no green space of our own. My project is to see how much you can grow in containers on a rooftop. I have planted habanero, hot chilis, bell peppers, pimento peppers and tomatoes. I will updating the blog weekly to let you know how my garden is going. I plan to add jalapeno to the garden as well. Let the adventure begin!
